Haiti's struggle

I've been so saddened by the tragedy of Haiti. We were able to make a monetray contribution for relief. But I hope to create artwork depicting my feelings about this horrendous devastation.

I found some free blog backgrounds, when I visited my scrapping buddy Maria's blog. I really like this Finnish artist's work. What do you think of my blog's new look?

Gold in Quartz

Here is a mixed-media piece I've been playing with the past few days over the New Year's holiday weekend. Inspiration for this piece was from an article in my 'Lapidary Journal / Jewelry Artist' magazine' I added many layers. Fun!
