"Aim High - Reach for the Stars!" - Art journal page

Howdy and welcome!

Here's a page I finished several weeks ago in my art journal 'Never Give Up, Never Surrender!' This journal page experiments with doodling and trying out a bunch of Sharpie paint pens.

'Secret' ingredients!
acrylic tinted gesso over graphite pencil, over 2" masking tape over sketchbook paper, with Sharpie paint pens on top.

Quote:
An old quote from the U.S. Air Force that I adapted when I was considering becoming a payload specialist during the early days of the Space Shuttle missions. I only got as far as taking a couple of rocket science courses which I loved and joining a couple of organizations (SSI and CSSS) where I met some fascinating geeks. Also, got my copy of Gerard K. O'Neill's landmark book 'The High Frontier' autographed by the author!

What do you think of this page? Do you ever use Sharpie paint pens? In general, I like them. But I can't always get the white pen to flow right, even after shaking it according to the directions...

Thanks for stopping by. While you're here, I'd love for you to sign up as a follower!

Howdy K,
Thanks for stopping by! Glad you like my blog. THe blog design is not my art! It's a free background I found at: http://blo64rt.blogspot.com/. Or click the badge in the top left corner of my blog to see other free backgrounds...

I checked my blogger profile and I DO see my bog on there - don't know why you can't see it?!?!

So glad you like my art. Thanks for your encouraging words! It's so much fun creating artwork.

Hope you'll stop by again.

Peace,
LuLu (my nickname...)

You are really good with those pens. I'm not a journal artist, but I appreciate them. And I enjoyed your tape transfer in the previous post, too.
