'Icon Saint- art journal pages'

Howdy and Welcome,

This is an original art Journal page containing an image transfer test on clear Contact paper of a religious Icon/Saint. This was from an antique book of icons I found while on vacation in Galena, IL.

Page also contains my experimental lettering in foreign languages: Greek, French, German and Cunieform.

Mesh tape on tinted gesso background and masking tape. Dots with white Sharpie paint pen.

What do you think of this transfer? I'm not completely satisfied with it, but it was the first test.

Thanks for visiting. Please stop by again soon.

Peace,
LuLu

Hi Lulu,
You mentioned transferring the image onto clear contact paper. What kind of image (ink jet, laser, magazine?) and what was the process? Did you use gel medium? Or did you print the image onto the contact paper? Never thought of using clear contact paper. BTW... the page i great!

Howdy Suzanne,

Thanks again for visiting and for your questions. I'm working on a detailed tutorial with supplies list to be published later this month. Meanwhile I did a 'www.dogpile.com' search and some answers are at this website:
