Here's what's in my daily tote bag - today - too much as usual.....

Black Maggie Barnes faux leather tote bag that I found at Goodwill for $3.

• large, black 'Kangaroo Keeper' with:

• old glasses and case (to remove after visit to eye doctor)
• BAC Street Journal #4 (includes one of my poems!)

• large paper clip
• emery boards
• bandaids
• pens and highlighter and eraser
• hair pick
• iPod cable and instructions card
• eyedrops and sleepmask
• toothbrush and tootpaste and floss/pick
• spork
• black mini-pouch with:
• 4GB flash drive
• mini tape measure
• hair clip
• scrunchie
• earplugs
• antique pocket scissors - inherited from my grandfather
• lime green 'Nomadic Pouch-In-Bag' with:
• lime green Liz Caliborne wallet
• cellphone
• travel dictionary (french/english)
• travel mirror
• travel embroidered tissue holder
• flat 2011 / 2012 calendar flyer (from doctor's office)
• reporter's memo notebook
• 2 business card holders
• iPod earbuds
• SPF face moisturizer
• hand lotion
• rescue inhaler
• 2 pill boxes
• 4 Ricola cough drops
• chapstick
• lipstick
• mini mechanical pencil, mini gel pen, highlighter, glaze pen, mini sharpie (moved to keyring)
• screwdriver kit with mini tape measure on keyring clip

'LIT - Ode to Travelling Light!'

Yes, I'm a tad late for List It Tuesday - was scrapbooking at our annual holiday potluck crop...Meanwhile, this is a photo with the list of about 100 items of 'stuff' I'm carrying around in my purse...

Actually I AM working on paring down most of this detritis. For example, do I really need to carry around stuff like my iPod charger when I go shopping or to PT?!

What's in my bag?

Howdy and Welcome,

Ensalada's post about all the bags she uses struck a chord in me.

I have a zillion bags - and a million of them are BLACK! Her post cracked me up, and inspired me to check what's in MY bag. Shown is the contents of the black bag that I used for our NY state roadtrip last week...

1. embroidered tissue holder
2. rescue inhaler
3. chapstick
4. lipstick case with mirror
5. lipstick
6. business card case
7. 2 ballpoint pens (but no notepad - yikes!!!)
8. skinny wallet - with cash, coins, coupons, credit cards, and allergies/meds list
9. phone
10. 2 ricola cough drops
11. obsolete shopping list from NY state trip we just returned from
12. tylenol in aspirin travel dispenser
13. keyring for our house and my vehicle - hanging outside of bag on d-ring of shoulder strap
14. satin scarf - hanging outside of bag on shoulder strap

Disclaimer: on our recent trip to NY state, I also carried a black daypack/backpack that had a lot of other essentials - 2 iPod shuffles with cords and chargers in Baggalini belt pouch, travel lotion, books, notepads, sketch book, journalling pens and brushes in eagle creek travel pouch, pocket moleskine, snack, small digi camera, small water bottle, etc.... You know, the non-essential essential stuff...
