Madonna with 3 Hands and Child

Here's a digital image I worked on today. The icon and text were from an antique German book I bought at a book store when we went to Galena last spring. "Madonna with Three Hands and Child"

Lost to Eternity: Turning Point of Orpheus upon Eurydices ascent from Tartarus

'Lost to Eternity: Turning Point of Orpheus upon Eurydices ascent from Tartarus'
(Digital Hybrid: mixed-media on canvas board, scanned and manipulated)

My favorite piece of artwork - so far. I really enjoy the ancient myths - in addition to philosophy and Shakespeare, of course.

This piece was done as an experiment with tissue paper and diluted white glue (Elmer's). Many weeks after it was dry, I scanned it and played around with it in Photoshop PSE. Submitted it to a contest, too.

Click on the image for a larger version. Can you see Orpheus' lyre in his right hand? It looks like a ram's head!

Gold In Quartz - Series

Howdy and Welcome!

Different views of a background.

Acrylic glazes, acrylic paint, soft gel medium, embossing, gold leaf, gold embossing powders, embossing ink, embossing fluid - on canvas board. Scanned and tweaked with Photoshop PSE.

Thanks for stopping by - and hope you come back again when you  have a moment or 2.

Peace,
LuLu

Coeur d'Or - Heart of Gold

Same submission - after being tweaked with Photoshop PSE.

Fyi, the music notation was re-written by me on watercolor paper. The music is from one of my original songs that I recorded with my rock band (a million years ago!)

Which version do you llike best? The BEFORE version? Or the AFTER version?

While you're here, I'd love for you to sign up as a follower!

Peace,
LuLu

Doodles Deux

This is a doodle experiment. I just found this type of 'zen' doodling - after playing with doodles 30+ years ago.

STUDIO Twenty Ten - Before and After

My Art/Craft studio is slowly getting more organized and efficient, after the horrendous crash of my worktable on Labor Day 2009! Someday, hope it will be a 'well oiled machine' so I can create works in the same time frame that I imagine them - I have so many ideas, yet so little time...
before - North
after - North
Before - South after - South
before - West
after - West Here's a digital montage just finished - after working on components for several months!
Gal in Bubble - digital collage
Working on art journals now. Reviewing ancient writing - cuneiform, hieroglypics, more calligraphy, various modern languages, ancient greek alphabet and more poetry. Lots to research!
