Howdy and Welcome,

Yes! It's been forever since I posted here....

I survived the 2017-18 winter flu epidemic - just barely. Both my hubby and I got it at the same time- but I was hit much harder due to my respiratory issues. He had to take me to hospital urgent care and they took several tests - including a nostril swab. After finishing 3 prescriptions, I lived to tell the tale...I don't EVER want to be that sick again.

Now I'm working on my 1st quilt. It's challenging because I'm a pretty new 'seamstress'. But I'll get there. Just takes a LOT of patience.

It's a Mixed Media Art Journaling workshop - an intense and immersive 2 days.

This fun workshop is 3 hours each day from 1pm - 4pm with 15 minute setup before class and 15 minute cleanup after class on  both days. Doors open at 12:45pm each day.

I'm in the newspaper! I'm officially a celebrity!
well, sort of a celebrity...One of our local newspapers here in Chicago, featured an article about me and the mixed media Art Journal class I'm teaching next week at the Beverly Arts Center in Chicago, IL.

We'll be using all sorts of goodies, including washi tapes, scrapbooking paper and doing all sorts of techniques including: collage, frottage, laminating, doodling and more!

(SU15) Basic Mixed Media Prep 101: Art Journaling - In this 2-day workshop ‘mini-camp’, you will explore mixed media and in the process, transform a blank journal into a fun art journal! Art techniques include: laminating, frottage, collage, under-journaling, resists, glazing, masks, stenciling, and tangling. Once you learn these techniques you’ll never look at a blank page the same.
